kio sysinfo:/ has evolved

Post by helios »

Recently, the developer of the kio sysinfo has gotten a boost of energy and did some major upgrading to his program. While it has had its problems, he has stuck with it and acted in the true spirit of open source.

Give until they spit on you then give some more.

Bless his (and your) heart for all that is done for us.

The Kubuntu deb works fine for Mint but it is missing one dependency and will give you errors in kapckage. That program is libhd13, a file that is used to check hardware. It is in the regular repositories and sysinfo will install immediately after libhd13 is installed. This is really one sweet app in my opinion. See an older but fairly good screenshot of it here http://www.kde-apps.org/content/preview ... e99dafcc3d

Maybe our superguyz can roll it up and put it in the repositories. I would do it but the last time someone executed on of my deb packages, Boise Idaho blew up.

I am since retired from the coding business
