<WORKAROUND> WProblems with GUI/menues in IntelliJ Idea

Hi,

I recently installed IntelliJ Idea on my laptop, using LMDE 64 bit Cinnamon/MATE desktop environment. In general this application runs but there is a severe problem when I work with it on fullscreen mode and try to access any element from a menu element like e.g. Run -> Make project since it is simple not accessible.

The funny thin is. When I resize the application to let's say one half of the screen, I can access the menu options again.

Did anyone of you face the same problem and is there a solution to fix this?
