News and summary:

Linux Mint 13 was released, featuring MATE and Cinnamon. Both editions got a great reception in the press and within the community. We’ve been backing both desktops for a long time and it’s a real pleasure to give them some prime time with this release and to share them with you.
The team is currently working on KDE and Xfce editions for Linux Mint 13. After a poll was organized, it was decided the focus was going to be given to the most popular desktops within the Mint community. More focus was given to Xfce and the LXDE and Fluxbox editions which were previously only available in 32-bit were discontinued.

I am puzzled. My experience of transferring money is that the banks take a healthy bite out of it. How does it work when donors or sponsors give very small amounts?

On tiny transfers, Paypal takes almost everything. When a donation is so small that Paypal takes 100% and leaves us nothing we usually issue a refund.
