Have tried installing Mint xfce with cd iso and come to screen looking for a username and password. Anyone tell me how to get past this point. Have tried every word related to this I can think of and I cannot see anything on web related to this.
Thanks

Re: XFCE installation username?
Is this when you boot the live CD?
There should be no request for password until you reboot for the first time
Then the CD is bad
Check the md5sum (in Windows you have to install a third party program) and burn slowly

Re: XFCE installation username?
i'm having this same problem w/gnome main (from either HEAnet, University of Crete-i cant remember which i got the iso from) this is the 7th disc ive burned and the first one i've gotten to work and honestly dont know what i did to get the darn thing to cooperate so i'd really like to use the one i got what is the default root password?
Re: XFCE installation username?
There is no default password (except for the debian special CE - I think)
If you are asked for a password in the live CD your CD is bad
md5sum and burning speed are the things to check
