Hey folks
I live in the picturesque Scottish borders near the coast. I have only used Windows in the past although I did have a brief fling with unbuntu but couldn't quite get the hang of it. I had to recently restore my windows 7 due to a sneaky virus I just couldn't get rid of, but luckily I had made a back up with a program called Acronis, however it was from when it was new so I restored it and lost quite a bit of data.
I was pointed to Mint by a buddy who uses it and tells me its very user friendly, so I am gonna install it alongside windows os until such a time as I can ditch windows.... maybe.
I guess it will be a learning curve but hopefully one I can manage.
Cheers Folks
Jim
