There is no difference between drivers installed by Envy or using the "Restricted Drivers" tool other than the version. With the latest version of Envy you are likely to get newer drivers

As I said the only difference is version (and method of installing of course)
I have not been following the bug reports very closely but i don't recall video problems "en masse"

KNown issues with Daryna KDE will be published when the final version is out (one little quirk more to fix and the it's go, I hope)
