The version in the repo is pre-1.0. I am having problems when I rdp into my windows 7 machine. It connects fine but then almost immediately the session crashes. I have compiled FreeDesktop from source but that didn't seem to fix the issue, so now I'm trying to update Remmina, but the instructions for compiling from source are not user friendly. I couldn't find a .deb package for the latest Remmina. Can somebody assist me with getting this installed? Thanks for any assistance.

Re: How to get latest Remmina?
Here's a link to a guide about getting the version of GIMP from testing. It should be easily adapted to work for remmina. The version of Remmina in testing is the latest available in Debian, so it would be what you want.

Or, here's a link to the Remmina available in testing (1.0.0-4).
http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/remmina
That page will provide the debs as well as the dependencies. Most likely, the first method would be the easiest. It is a fairly simple process that requires no compiling. Just pay attention during the upgrade process, to make sure it isn't updating all your system or removing all of it.
