Desktop Background - want to add my images to a directory

Postby maxmcbyte on Thu Jul 19, 2012 10:09 pm

Am very happy with Mint 13 (both Mate and Cinnamon)!

Question:
I want to add my images to a directory so that when I right-click on the desktop and select "Change Deskto Background" my images will be part of the collection.

What I have tried:
I found the directory "/usr/share/backgrounds" and I have place my images into it, yet the do not show up when right-click on the desktop and select "Change Deskto Background".
I have also manually added images using the add button within "Change Deskto Background" and the images does appear on the desktop background *** BUT *** it does not persist, after a reboot or just recently I stated up my Eclipse IDE and the background image disappeared.

What am I missing?

Appreciate any clues.

Thanks!
