Hi!
I would like to ask how do you create your own custom theme in MATE? In Cinnamon, you can copy a skeleton file and edit the .CSS but in MATE, I tried to do the same but it does not work.
Can you help me?
Thanks!

Re: [MATE] In-depth Theme Customization Help
Hi,
Best i can tel you is to find a theme you like and change it.
You will need theme that has support for GTK2 and GTK3. Since Mate is fork of Gnome2 it will use GTK2 theme but new software like nautilus or new Gedit are using GTK3 so you will need GTK3 theme too since new software will be written with Gtk3.
so you will have in your Theme dir, these are the files you want to play with.
gtk-2.0
- gtkrc
gtk-3.0
- gtk-widgets.css
- gtk.css
