LMDE Mate asking for another Users Password

I setup someones laptop with LMDE Mate, so now they are trying to get on the wireless and its asking for my user names password, I do not want to give it out, I added all the permissions via the useradd -G netdev <username> command, and I do remember setting all permissions in the mate-users-admin area, not sure if I need to add in a group, I do not have wireless, so I'm at a lost, and we are separated by a thousand miles, so doing this over the phone sucks; I don't know why its not asking for the su password, and why my user name, and how do I fix this.
