Overall very similar to ver 1.2, but that's to be expected. One thing I did enjoy, the Calculator button on my keyboard now starts mate-calc. It used to give an error about not being able to find gcalctool
The two things that keep me from using it full time are still present though. Media buttons on my keyboard still will not control Banshee, and the keyring still has problems not remembering passwords for the session.
I'll still keep checking out the progress. It always feels so nice to return to the familiar interface, plus it's a pretty responsive DE.

Important:
We are experiencing difficult with packages.mate-desktop.org. During the update process, if you encounter connection problems, please use repo.mate-desktop.org instead of packages.mate-desktop.org/repo/. Also, please note that it is repo.mate-desktop.org and NOT repo.mate-desktop.org/repo/. If you are a Linux Mint user and make this change, remember to change /etc/apt/preferences as well.

inxi -rcat /etc/apt/preferencesaptitude -F "%p %v %V" search mate
