Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
The poll system is set up for only 10 choices, so I am picking 10 from the list of 11.
There were more names suggested than there are lines in a poll.
The poll never ends and you can change your vote.

Re: Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
I'm making the case for Nyssa because it is a Greek name (one of the few in the group) that means truth.
This is very fitting for representing Linux Mint, don't you think?

Re: Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
Natascha. Because, well, I like it best
Re: Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
I'm not going with any of those. I'm going with Narya. Narya is the Ring of Fire carried by Gandalf in Lord of the Rings.
Re: Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
Natascha is my wife's name, and she is also a Mint user. I think it would be cool to have a release with the same name as one of it's users. Come one people, vote!
Re: Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
I vote for Natascha, because it sounds better then others IMO. And because it is the name of the wife of my friend Cliff`!
Re: Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
I just want to point out that, if you are going to keep to the tradition of using a Greek name, Nadia and Natascha certainly are not that.
Nyssa is still the only Greek name in the bunch, as far as I can tell.
Also, the meaning of Nyssa (truth) fits so well with Linux mint.

Re: Poll: Vote of LM 14 name
Clem has announced "Nadia" to be the name for the Linux Mint 14 release. Congrats to those of you that picked the winning name Thanks ddalley for running the poll.
Announcement: http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2133.Clem wrote:Linux Mint 14 will be named “Nadia” and should be available at the end of November 2012.
In Kim Stanley Robinson’s Mars Trilogy, Nadezhda “Nadia” Chernyshevski is Maya’s best friend.
Nadia is pronounced NAH-d’-yah. It is the English form of Nadya, which itself is the pet form of Nadezhda and is Russian for “hope”. It’s also a variant of Nadiyya which, in Arabic, means “moist, tender, delicate”.
Linux Mint 14 “Nadia” will feature the following editions:
- Cinnamon
- MATE
- KDE
- Xfce
