No Sound (SOLVED)

I have followed all the suggestions that I can find but still cannot get the sound to work.

The sound works perfectly with LMDE Mate and other live cds of XFCE distros.

Did you try opening XFCE4's mixer and point to pulseaudio?

Solved the problem. The sound is pointing to alsamixer and so I installed Alsamixergui and unmuted the master. 100% sound now.
