Mintmenu in mate crashes on startup:

On startup, mintmenu crashes and I reload and reload again and it comes back. Any reason for the crash?

Press Alt+F2 to open the run dialog, then run the following command to delete your mintMenu settings:

rm -fr ~/.mateconf/apps/mintMenu

Then logout and login again (or do Alt+F2 and "sudo reboot" if you don't have another menu from which to logout), and the mintMenu settings will be recreated to the default.

You may have to do:

Code: Select all

killall mintmenu

once after logging in to reload the mintMenu.
