Editing My Linux Mint YouTube Videos

Post by Adler »

Hi All,

I record my Linux Mint Desktops using recordMyDesktop, change the .ogg/Vorbis output with a script to .avi, then can post to YouTube.

For instructional purposes I'd like to find a video editor that allows me to add "slides", that is some Impress slide to the video output that I have either saved, or posted to YouTube.

Trust me when I say that I have tried a lot of things that do not work.

Any ideas?

Dai,

Thanks for posting back. I've posted @ the showmedo.com Google Forum. Let's see what happens. Here is what I posted...
Hi All,

I've been producing Linux 3D Desktop videos for a while now using
recordMyDektop, then post them to YouTube. You can find them here @
http://www.youtube.com/user/jjmacey.

What I want to do is edit them by adding a text slide, probably using
Impress. Basically, how can I add text to produced videos?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Husse,

Hey, we haven't chatted in a while! Thanks for that Kdenlive link, I've dowloaded the application. And will look to see if it going to help me to do what I want to do.

Again, thanks to both of you for your responses!
