Help with Firewire camcorder

Hello,

I'm trying to capture some videos with a camcorder through Firewire connection. I did it in the past with no problems (some years ago) with raw1394 y dv1394 kernel modules. But I've seen they have been changed by firewire-core / firewire-ohci and dvgrab can't recognise my camera. I can't see anything with udevadm monitor when I connect it.


I'm using LMDE last updated yesterday.

Any ideas?

I think my camera Firewire port has gone to a better world. Can't make it work, I think udevadm monitor should say something even if it doesn't recognise the hardware I'm plugin.

Tested the camara in some other compuers with no luck
