MintBackup Crashing During Checksum Calculation

Postby buzzingrobot on Thu Feb 09, 2012 5:42 pm

Running MintBackup to backup / from an SSD to a partition on another local drive is consistently failing on a new Mint 12 KDE installation.

MintBackup crashes while calculating checksums on files in /dev/snd. The specific file will vary on each attempt, but it consistently happens while in that directory.

Is this a known issue? Can anyone suggest a workaround? Or, failing that, an alternative GUI approach to doing the backup. (One that allows exclusion of directories since I am not backing up the entire file system.)

Hello together,

I am facing the same problem. Unzipping the container "manually" does not really help as files are minced into small pieces and not put together correctly.

Is there a work-around available already?
