Youtube fullscreen and Mint

Post by geirergoy not logged in »

I updated Mint yesterday, using the program Mintupdate. I haven't done this for a few weeks.
After the update, Youtube cannot be fullscreen.
Youtube works fine otherwise.
If I press the Fullscreen button, it tries to go fullscreen. But only for a microsecond.
Then the fullscreen window goes away.
I have tried rebooting.
How can I get youtobe to use fullscreen again?
I use Daryna with Gnome.

I have this same problem...although I noticed that certain videos will stay on fullscreen, while others, like geirergory said, will go fullscreen and then close after a second.

I think it might have something to do with compiz, cause when I decided to turn the compiz effects off to see if the full screen would work, and stay working, it sure enough did...Re-enabled the effects and went back to the same situation.

Thanks, man!
I did not even think about compiz, but I will try and deactivate it tomorrow.
I am not writing this from the affected PC.

I deactivated the fancy stuff by selecting None under Appearance.
And once again Youtube is working.
Thank you for your help. I really hope they will be able to make a bug-free compiz.
