Brad Headland here, Web Services Manager at the National Archives of Australia. Just finished installing Mint 13 Mate 64 bit on my dual boot 15" MacBook Pro. Install was very straight forward with no troubles at all. Previous experience with Yellow Dog Linux on PowerMac G3. Getting right back in to Linux again now as I hopefully persue a change in job and move into the National Archives Digital Preservation team where Linux is the main platform.
Look forward to chatting with others on this forum and hope I can contribute some useful ideas as well as get help when I need it.
Cheers, Brad

Re: G'Day from Canberra Australia
Well I haven't booted into the Mac OS side of my computer since installing Mint 13 Mate 64 bit last weekend. I am so happy and impressed with the Mint OS stability, speed and ease of use. I've been reading alot about the Cinnamon desktop and have decided when I get home tonight I'm going to rebuild my computer as a single boot Cinnamon 64 bit.
Thank you to all the Mint team. You Rock!!!!
Cheers

To easy and I couldn't wait. Just installed the Cinnamon packages and now I have the choice of both Mate and Cinnamon. Awesome!
