I'm new to Linux and new to this forum. I'm running an AMD 64bit box, 8GB of RAM and dedicated video card/s. I've had my son helping me, he's much smarter than I am when it comes to this, but I figured it's time I started to stand on my own two feet. My problem is that I have an adventurous spirit and I either break what I "fix" or kill it alltogether.
I've run into a problem when trying to update/install packages and after trying to update to the latest mintsystem package, using Synaptic to go from 7.8.0 to 7.8.2, Right now, it might as well be Greek or Russian that's being written because I don't have a clue. Is there someone in this forum that can help me, or perhaps redirect me to the correct forum if this is not the correct one to pose this question.
