Writing this note to thank the LMDE crew. The update process took some time (did a dist-upgrade as advised) but everything is still running as it was before.

Do you have a TV connected? I'm having big trouble with twinview...

No TV. I've got a dell m4500 with also a dell monitor connected on the vga port. With which twinview now is automatically switched on.

There seems to be no noticable cpu hog. It just when switching between programs/tabs/... that there's a one second time lag. As though the screen image had been buffered somewhere and is being pulled back in.

I guess there's still work to do on nvidia integration.

But apart from this lag, I've got no complaints. It's clear a lot of effort was made - when seeing the difference with UP4.

Oh wait ! The progress dialog of DejaDup is totally black.

Hmmm, one second is quite some lag imo, depending on your hardware of course... Drivers are definitely unstable...

It wasn't in UP4. But it might be a coincidence of course - a problem for this particular version of the driver.
