[FIXED] UP5 not fully done and visual glitches
I am also having this white font issue. I am on Cinnamon and I did a partial upgrade , but the fonts in the menu of LibreOffice and first column/line numbers in gvim are all gone.
I updated all the gtk2 files, still doesnt help. Is this the same issue ? What to do ?

What's wrong with updating only the stuff thats bugging you ? Is there no shorter way to resolving this than updating all my 1k packages ?killer de bug wrote:Are you really asking your question ????sandt1g3r wrote:I am also having this white font issue. What is wrong with the partial upgrade is that it may lead to all kinds of weird errors no one here has ever seen - even those brave men who track Testing or Unstable repos. LMDE is based on Debian Testing, after all.sandt1g3r wrote:What's wrong with updating only the stuff thats bugging you ? Is there no shorter way to resolving this than updating all my 1k packages ?
Please read this thread for more info: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 8&t=112836
LMDE FAQ contains some explanations about various Debian releases and repos.

Re: UP5 not fully done and visual glitches
Fixed finally. Updating all the Xorg,X11 and Gnome related packages did the trick.
