Just moved here from Ubuntu and have some quick questions

Postby 0xnak on Mon Sep 24, 2012 8:21 pm

First, what is the top dock being used in this screenshot:
http://gnome-look.org/CONTENT/content-pre1/142296-1.jpg

Second, are there any 'Dark' versions of the Mint-x GTK and Metacity(Windows) themes? I am just looking for something that makes everything match the default panel color theme (which is nightlife I think.)

Thanks!

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Aren't those themes strictly for the panels or am I missing something? Non of them seem to install/include anything for GTK or Metacity.

you could try something like OMG-Dark from Gnome-Look, theme must have both gtk2 and gtk3 and Cinnamon. I use that and the window frames from MintDark http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Desktop- ... 5852.shtml but don't know if it's been updated to the new Cinnamon. Not using Cinnamon at the moment.[have Xfce] Reformatted my Harddrive to make things simpler and got rid of the Win7 partition while I was at it. after playing with Mint Linux on the NetBook Win7 was like walking in molasses up to my knees and that is even after I maxed out the RAM for it. Looks like I need to put Cinnamon on a partition and see how this are going and get some updated experience. For the last 6mths was only going to the Win7 partition to keep it updated anyway so decided I didn't need it anymore.
