The answer to your question is LXDM. However, LXDE consists of only 10 packages. I always start with lxde-core, which includes the most important ones, and then add others as desired. See, for example Numbers 20-22 in http://douwil7.100webspace.net/linux/lubuntu.html.

Thx, but the default Login Manager after LXDE installation seems to be gdm3:

Code: Select all

# cat /etc/X11/default-display-manager
/usr/sbin/gdm3

Sorry, I thought by "LXDE", you meant the desktop. The lxde package installs lxde-core, lxappearance, lxinput, lxsession-edit, lxshortcut, gpicview, lxterminal, lxmusic,
leafpad and xarchiver. To get lxdm, the lxde-desktop display manager (log-in manager), you need to install it seperately. Gdm must have been the default display manager already on your computer. It should work fine with lxde but it is much heavier than lxdm.
