(SOLVED)how can I remove this annyoing grey folder extension

Post by arminius »

I've attached a picture of my desktop.
and I want to get rid of the grey rectangle.
looked around all the desktop settings and it will let me change the folder it brings up, but doesn't seem to let me get rid of it completely.

unless there's something strange going on, do like this:
- unlock widgets on the cashew (upper right corner of the screen as image attached)
LXF129.future.kde_sp_1.jpg
- now if you hover over that plasmoid you'll see the option to remove it (the X near the bottom)

thank u, that's solved it
I already had my widgets unlocked, but locking then unlocking them revealed the X button for that grey rectangle.
