Flash has gone to hell

Post by searayman »

I stream all my music from google music and when i went to play my music today it was not playing any sound but the bar that shows how far it is through a song was flying like it was on fast forward mode.

I then decided to try youtube and videos all played with no sound and in fast forward mode....

I restarted my computer and nothing was changed.

I don't have this problem, but I have seen similar complaints in topics at this forum. There must be some info here.

well, 1: dont' use google, lol

but anyway; nothing changed, all of a sudden? was there an update?

who knows; possibly it is a google problem, are you using 'Google Chrome'? try another version of Chromium, like Chromium, or Iron Browser

If possible quit using google, period; they are 'big brother'

You should dual boot with another version of linux so you can check to see if it might be your hardware.

Try uninstalling flash and running 'flash-install' again.

works fine for me, in Opera, Linux Mint 13 XFCE.
Right clicked on the player to make sure it is the flash player and not the HTML5 player,
but as was to be expected from VEVO videos it's Flash.

Hey,
I just experienced the same like yours today.
I found the following from fourms and it works for me.
But my setting is the other one, not HDMI.
Anyway you can test the sound and I found that youtube thing works normal again.
Good luck!

total_blues' explanation solved for me the problem.

just go in the menu to system tools > system settings ---> sound
and switch under hardware the wrong (or not functioning) graphiccard driver off (in my case was it the HDMI Radeon HD somethingsomething)
