mint-meta-debian-cinnamon : Depends: xchat but it is(solved)

mint-meta-debian-cinnamon : Depends: xchat but it is not going to be installed

Tried to install mint-meta-debian-cinnamon and mint-meta-debian-mate after update5 but get this message.
In cinnamon the text is white in Nautilus, and minimize window, restore window's buttons are gone.
Perhaps that failure is due to the fact I can't install those packages?

ok,
a couple things about the info you provide us:
1- the repos are correct, well they all point at latest now (apart from frickelplatz but you should have a good reason to have it there)
2- i see anyway that those weren't always the repos you used: xchat-common comes from debian testing and not from packages.linuxmint
3- see if you can downgrade xchat-common from 2.8.8-6 to 2.8.8-3linuxmint2 through synaptic > search for the package and select it > then in the menu > package > force version > and in the popup window choose the older version

I followed your advice and everything is OK now. This fixed also the white text and the windows buttons.
