[SOLVED] Software manager not downloading

Post by fallofshadows »

Hey guys,

Recently, the software manager hasn't been letting me install anything. I click the install button on whatever program I want, the button disappears, but nothing downloads. I've tried using the Ubuntu Software Center as well, and it tells me there's something wrong with my internet connection.

Also, when I run apt-get update, it tells me that there are a few unsigned repositories (or something along those lines.) This is obviously an issue of its own, but I wonder if the two are somehow connected?

Thanks!

Wasn't sure if you meant I should edit my post with the inputs, or edit it to add [Solved] when the problem is solved. So I edited with the input lol.

Also you are included debian and precise repos, neither of these are compatible with the version of mint you are running and should be removed unless you want to risk a corrupted installation.

The mirror that's broken, is that the one that the LM Software manager is directed to? That would explain things not working (obviously.)

And how would I go about removing those repositories?

Yes that is the mirror your sources are trying to access. To remove the repos open Software Sources from mintupdate or Software Manager Edit menu, select and remove.
