4 mint tools released for Elyssa... (again :))

Post by clem »

Hi,

The following mint tools were released in Romeo and are ready for inclusion in Elyssa. If they aren't translated in your language yet don't wait for it to be too late and help translating them by following the appropriate thread below.

mintAssistant 2.0
* Languages supported: English, French
--> http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopi ... 733#p63733
* Changes:
--> Better GUI, i18n.

mintUpload 1.4
* Languages supported: English, French
--> http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopi ... 728#p63728
* Changes:
--> Better GUI, Copy to buffer replaces email button, i18n.

mintUpdate 2.3
* Languages supported: English, French, Greek, Spanish, Norwegian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Ukrainian, German, Italian, Bulgarian
--> http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopi ... 723#p63723
* Changes:
--> Fix: shows description of packages

mintMenu 3.2

* Languages supported: English, Bulgarian, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Swedish, Ukrainian
--> translation thread: http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopi ... 379#p63379
* Changes
--> Uses psyco (performance improvements, but still too slow for final release in elyssa), GUI improvements, fixes in package uninstallation feature (the way the dependencies are calculated), panel icon size defaults to 2 and is now configurable, fixed some launchers (digikam for instance), little improvements in bonobo server.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also if you find bugs in any of these 4 releases don't hesitate to reply to this thread to report them.

Thanks,
Clem.

I have all of the new tools installed. The GUI improvements on the mintassistant are nice! The mintmenu loads faster in the panel. Nice work!

For mintUpload make sure you have nautilus-actions installed... the dependency isn't there so that mintUpload can be compatible with KDE basically.

I have it installed. I remembered that from a while back. Thanks!

Mintupload looks really nice now!

So far I have not been able to reproduce the log off and shut down problem with the menu!

Speaking of MintTools, how about putting them in their own little menu-folder, like I've done on my system?

Kynan , could you post the path to the icon you used for the tools folder? I think that the way you set up the tools folder looks professional and will help new user's and make the mint tools stand out more.
