Is there a way to boot Mint from an old mp3 player just like you would from a USB drive? I was trying to use this tutorial but I could not get the HP USB tool to work. I'm using a Creative Zen Xtra 30gb and I thought since it's sorta like an external hard drive that I would be able to format it but this did not work.
Also, if there is a way, would there be a way to partition the drive with a / (root), /home, and swap partions or would I just do the USB tut way?

Re: Boot Mint with mp3 Player
I think this could behave just like any USB hard drive, provided Creative has not "locked it" in some way
