Realtek Driver for pae-Kernel

Post by disorder »

Hi guys!
I had some trouble with a PCI Express NIC Card running Realtek RTL8111/RTL8168 chipset.
I was able to fix the problem following that description http://unixblogger.wordpress.com/2011/1 ... rnet-card/
So far the system was running under 3.2.0-2-486.
Now my problem. Do to the fact that I have to run 32bit OS and to use the complete RAM, I decided to use BIGMem(pae) Kernel. That works fine, but I'm not able to install the Realtek drivers for that Kernel (3.2.0-3-686-pae) because it dos not match the right Kernel. Is there a special driver necessary, or can I adapt the existing driver to that Kernel?

Thanks for your comments!

I just have to add the Header files for linux 3.2.0-3-686-pae and after that the installation of the Realtek drivers was as expected!
