Mate/Gnome 2:Have device name, not 20GB Filesystem<SOLVED>

Post by ekimtrah »

I would like to know how to set the sidebar in the Caja file manager to show Sda1, Sda2, Sda3 etc instead of 20GB filesystem x 3, in the places menu too if possible. I presume it would be the done the same in Nautilus too. If I cannot have this I would like to have the filesystems mount at /media/sda1 etc. instead of the Guid string. I am sure I have done this before but I have forgotten how.

I think that you could accomplish this by changing the label of the device using a tool like GParted.
