Sound-Juicer not setting md5sum when encoding flac

Post by txtad »

Howdy!

It seems that now when I rip a CD with Sound-Juicer to a flac file, the MD5 sum or "fingerprint" isn't getting set at all:

Code: Select all

$ metaflac --show-md5sum ASongEncodedWithTheCurrentMintVersionOfSound-Juicer.flac
00000000000000000000000000000000
$ metaflac --show-md5sum ASongEncodedWithAnEarlierVersionOfSound-Juicer.flac
4adf0668598b99f607ba4f6b383ebe37
I don't know when this started, but it's been a problem ever since I updated to 13. Does anyone know if this is a bug in Sound-Juicer, GStreamer or the flac library?

Thanks,
Tad

Hi friend, you can try "Audex" or "Asunder" for ripping audio from cd's and convert to many file formats from Flac, Ogg to Mp3!
Debian 12 Gnome on a MSI H61M-P25 (B3) PC & on a Dell Latitude E6410 & HP EliteBook 8540p Laptops.
LMDE 6 on a Panasonic ToughBook CF-C1 Laptop.
Bodhi Linux 7 on a HP Compaq DC5750 Small Form Factor PC.
Windows 11 on a Intel DH55TC PC.
