When I started working with Mint 13 with Xfce (which I love) a few days ago if I clicked the Log Out option in the menu it presented options including Shut Down and Reboot.
Now when I click the same button I am immediately logged out and returned to the login screen. Is this something that I've accidentally changed, or a problem in Xfce?
Any assistance / thoughts on why this behaviour changed are much appreciated.

Right click panel applet icon.
Properties
Tick (Show Confirmation Dialog)
Might have been changed by accident?
EDIT:
Sorry read your post too fast.
You said in the menu?
Have no idea there?

How about Settings -> Session and Startup -> General tab
Make sure the option "Prompt on logout" is enabled.
Hope this helps.

Hooray awesome that fixed it, thanks! Not sure if, when, or why I changed that, but happy it's once again working as I expected.
