No sound!!! help please!

Hello everyone.

After i installed Mint 13 Cinnamon sound was working fine, but suddenly it stopped working. I've already checked the alsamixer, installed pulseaudio volume control (dont remember the name) and a few other things. I will apreciate any help.

Here's something you can check go to preferences > sound check to see if it lists any output, make sure it's on speakers.
Next check the hardware tab and select the option that corresponds to you system.

This may sound simple but I spent an hour one day trying to get audio to work only to discover eventually I had set it to headphones instead of speakers.

Thank you. But i have already tried that and still no sound, i have not idea of what else to do. Im thinking a fresh install but its probably that eventually this might happen again...

before you do the fresh install try this
uninstall all audio one program at a time and reinstall starting with alsa see if you can't get it to work.
