Change Ubuntu7.10 to Mint4.0

Post by mikimiki2010 »

Hi guys,

Does anyone of you have a guide to changing ubuntu 7.10 to Mint4.0?
I mean a complete replacement of ubuntu.

The problem is that I am actually dual booting ubuntu and win XP on the same HDD.
Back then, I had XP installed followed by Ubuntu.
I heard something abt the swap partition which will made switching between distribution easy?
Is it true?

Please help me !
Thanks a lot!!

What do you want to do? A clean install? If so, just download the liveCD, burn, boot and install, select manual partition and choose manual partition. Then just select the Ubuntu partition (ext3), mount point should be / and tick off for formating.
