Hi, I just tried to run Linux Mint Maya x64 on my new Toshiba Satellite L850D AMD64 notebook. After I got to the Mint desktop, the trackpad wouldn't work. I've no idea if anything else was working because I couldn't navigate anywhere. Have I gone and bought the wrong notebook, or should I try a different flavour of Linux?

Re: Linux Mint on Toshiba Satelite L850D
That is probably solvable, but can you use a USB mouse for now? Then please open a terminal and share the output of the following command here (you can copy text to/from the terminal, see its Edit menu).
Code: Select all
cat /proc/bus/input/devices

Thanks for the reply. When I gave it another try everything was OK including the wireless mouse.
