Some distros have the tab "theme" when you right click "change background" but Mint doesn't so that makes it harder for me.
Easy way to install themes, I don't care for the green default.

And surprise us, which desktop environment are you using? E.g., MATE, Cinnamon, Xfce, KDE, or something else? That does help a bit in answering questions

It says so right on the bottom of the themes page: http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/. You can select your theme in Cinnamon Settings > Themes. It is still being worked on to be able to install themes easier and directly in Cinnamon Settings > Themes. Patience, developers are hard at work
