Moving user data ubuntu to mint

Postby linuxsudoer on Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:51 am

My friend is wanting me to upgrade his ubuntu 10.04 to linux Mint. He wants me to save his data, but from the live CD I cannot copy his data to my server. I telling me I do not have permissions. The main reason for upgrading is he broke the ubuntu so it doesnt boot into anymore. And he needed an upgrade.
