I have a live dvd of mint 13 in my dvd drive and it booted right up and configured everything it's awesome. Just one question from this newbie. What's the root pass? or su pass? or sudo pass? I don't want to install it yet (disk drive fried waiting on replacement) but trying to get familiar with it and can't seem to find this password anywhere. I know if you install it the pass you create for your account becomes the root pass, but I can't find where it's documented about running live dvd. Any help would be well a help.
Thanks

Re: running linux mint 13 live dvd
Welcome to the Mint family forums,
as i see it running from a live dvd nothing is being stored so no need for root [sudo] when you install you will need to set up a sudo [root ]account to access the repository's and maintain the system than any other person using your machine can be set up with a user account but they will only be able to use the programs you permit and not make changes to your system
