I forwarded the info directly to Clem that same day, but got no response yet. Maybe they're all busy right now preparing Mint 15, but it would be ok just to tell they will look into it once they got more free time. Meanwhile, we're in the fog
The current situation is somewhat weird.. 5 mirrors in France and most of them in Europe
But for better load balancing, one or two more mirrors in the US, maybe one in Brazil, one in South Africa and one somewhere in Asia (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan..) would be good. Gonna recheck the mirrors and edit post with results.
EDIT: all listed mirrors work, except Nouknouk's (no URL provided, I tried to guess but with no success).Currently unlisted and UP6:http://mirror.nus.edu.sg/LinuxMint-Debian/latest/http://ftp.kaist.ac.kr/linuxmint-debian/latest/http://ftp.tku.edu.tw/Linux/LinuxMint/latest/latest/http://speglar.simnet.is/mint/latest/latest/http://mirrors.serverhost.ro/mint/debian/latest/http://ftp.igh.cnrs.fr/pub/os/linux/lin ... an/latest/http://mirrors.ircam.fr/pub/linuxmint-debian/latest/http://mirror.xmission.com/linuxmint-debian/latest/ftp://ftp.fedora.is/pub/mint/latest/latest/http://linda.student.lth.se/lmde/latest/http://mintlinux.mirror.triple-it.nl/debianlatest/Currently unlisted and outdated:
EDIT2: I contacted all three outdated mirror operators, I will wait a few days before trying to get in touch again with the Mint team per mail or IRC. Time to get more mirroring potential on the tracks before update pack 7
EDIT3 (apr 10): Triple IT just confirmed their mirror is on UP6 and they'll notify the Mint team about the mirror; no update from the LMU (LRZ) since I can't reach to the servicedesk ticket :/ Folder structure doesn't give hint about a running rsync. No response from NCHC yet. To all other unlisted mirror maintainers
: to allow the Mint team to add your mirror to the official list, mail to root at linuxmint.com
. They won't do it just because I googled around for existing mirrors
