Dwell Click no longer possible?

Postby Shillshocked on Mon Nov 12, 2012 8:06 pm

I was checking out accessibility options in the mouse settings and I noticed dwell click is an option. The problem is, turning it on doesn't work. On further examination, I noticed that dwell-click-applet is not provided in the current version of mousetweaks for Debian. This I believe is the root of the problem.

So what is the solution for those who require this type of accessibility feature? I tried installing an outdated version, but the applet wouldn't run. I really don't want to have to resort to Windows because I can no longer get this functionality... :x

I don't know how to make applet show on but I do really know how to make dwell click enable

here is command for dwell-click

To Enable dwell-click
$ mousetweaks --dwell (put it in startup if u want it all the time)

To Disable dwell-click
$ mousetweaks --shutdown
or
$ mousetweaks -s

My problem is dwell-click wont enable on boot
after I enter X-windows I have to keyin this command

mousetweaks -s
mousetweaks --dwell

then dwell-click will enable

I don't know what happen but it work!
