I am in the process of upgrading my computers to Linux Mint 64-bit. I got it to boot fine from USB on my old laptop and got to play around, but can't boot from USB on my desktop. It appears to freeze at some point during the boot process, after getting to the Linux Mint boot screen with the options. When I try booting in compatibility mode, the last two lines of output before it freezes are:
[ 0.978103] ACPI: Power Button [PWRF]
[ 0.978202] ACPI: processor limited to max C-state 1
Does anyone know why it isn't working with my desktop? (It is definitely 64-bit compatible) Or anything else I can try?
