I installed the subject package with Synaptic. The program is part of setting up a network attached TV tuner.
To get a list of devices, I ran

$ hdhomerun_config discover
no devices found
from my laptop with a WIFI connection.
If I run the same command via cat cable direct to the router, I get

$ hdhomerun_config discover
hdhomerun device 103221FF found at 192.168.0.110
Any ideas why?
