DELL inspiron N4020 keyboard touchpad switch issue in XFCE

Post by thunderbrant »

Good morning. I have a question about the touchpad in this netbook. This switch works perfectly in MATE and CINNAMON, even displays a icon showing if touchpad is turned on or off, but doesnt in KDE and XFCE. I really want to know what daemon applet or software is installed in that desktop enviroments (mate and cinnamon) to use in others. Please, if some one kowns how, sayme... but dont say me "get the other versions" cause this is the obvius answer. Tnx. Here a scrennshot

1. look at 'settings>mouse' Does the hardware register as a touchpad (with TP controls)
2.using xev (terminal program that in most linuxs including Mints) Does the switch when pressed register a code. (put mouse in square of xev and hit key, watch terminal output)
