Clonezilla - Broken Images and Lots of Fun.

Postby CtrlAltDel on Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:31 pm

Hello everyone,

I have absolutely no serious issues with my installation of Mint 14 Cinnamon 64bit, most everything is working great and it's real smooth. The only problem that I am having is that when I try to use Clonezilla to create a clone of partitions, it spits this out:

This partition in the image is broken: SDA3

and refuses to create a clone. I usually just create a clone of my boot drive and my / drive and store them on flash drives. I have never had any kind of issue like this before.

Anyone have any experience with this that could take the time to help out? I'll be more than glad to provide any more information that I can.

Thanks.

I can't offer specifics on a Clonezilla solution as I don't use the app.

If you're agreeable to trying something other than Clonezilla I'd recommend a look at fsarchiver. It's bundled with SystemRescue CD.

I've been using both very successfully for several years (includes restoring ext3, ext4 and ntfs partitions).

Here's a couple of links that may help:

Short paper I authored on the same subject:
