[Solved] Mint 14 Repositories Fouled Up

Postby CtrlAltDel on Sun Nov 18, 2012 3:47 am

Can anyone help me to figure out why the highlighted entries fail to download properly? Or, if they should even be there or if I should check or uncheck some other ones or change an address, etc... Anything, really, that you can think of that may help would be appreciated.

Here are my software sources and error messages.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Just because these paths are plain wrong. Linux Mint is not a version of Ubuntu... Correct paths should refer to "quantal", not "nadia".
Main desktop: Debian GNU/Linux Wheezy 64bit - MATE 1.8.1
(i5 2400@3.7GHz - 16GB DDR3 - HD6770 w/radeon driver - SSD+RAID1)

Okay, that would explain it then. :-) Should they even be there? Should I just change the "nadia" to "quantal" or just do away with them altogether? Would the other ones, the Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal), the Recommended Updates, the Important Security Updates, etc...) be the only ones I really need?

Btw, I didn't put those there myself. I first installed Mint 14 and they weren't there. I had a couple of problems with Software Manager and Synaptic so, instead of doing a reinstall and losing all of my customizations, I did a Repair Install and that is when they appeared. So, something off of the Mint 14 Cinnamon install disk put them there.

Thanks, eanfrid. I just deleted them. After a little help from you, I realize that these were just improperly named duplicates of sources that were already listed.
