File Associations

Postby dcihon on Sun Nov 18, 2012 9:28 am

This is a basic question I know but I need the answer.
There are many time I need to know where programs are located in LMDE so I can associate them.
For example:
I am using Filezilla to do some editing of some .html files.
While I am in there I wanted to look at a .doc file.
I need to tell Filezilla how to launch the program.
It wants as an example:
png "c:\program files\viewer\viewer.exe" -open

What do I need to give it to open Libreoffice writer for .doc files.
I have no idea where the programs are located in LMDE.
