deleting system wallpapers

Post by 007 »

Recently I came to know of a great feature of KDE, which allows me to change a wallpaper every 10 seconds automatically.

in a desktop settings
Layout: Desktop
Wallpaper: Slideshow

I really like the way it changes wallpapers, but system wallpapers have not so pleasant-to-eyes pics which I want gone. I tried myself to find a way to delete those pics but to no avail. My question now is how to delete those unwanted wallpapers!

Thanks in advance.

I am using lm 12 kde.

I love the slideshow option for wallpapers. I've collected a nice large collection of walls and I have an active rotation folder and an inactive folder so I can move walls back and forth as I get tired of some. There should be a checkbox on the Desktop Settings dialog, right below where it says Images, to show System wallpapers. If you untick the box it won't show any of the system wallpapers in your slideshow.

Yes, I am aware of that option. Besides that, I misunderstood about the downloaded wallpapers. System wallpapers and downloaded wallpapers have their own folders, with custom folder available for your own pics :D Things couldn't get better. Thanks anyway.

No problem. I know how it can be figuring out how and where KDE does things. I do reinstalls every now and then and have long been glad I document things on my blog so I can remember what I did the previous time.
