Hello. Happy Holidays.
Please, I was wondering if there's a PPA for LibreOffice for Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" (Lxde) that I could add to my Software Sources.
I'm not sure that there are any plans to update LibreOffice from Version 3.4 to a more recent version--either 3.5 or 3.6--so that's why I'm inquiring.
Thank you very much.

Re: LibreOffice PPA for Linux Mint 12 "Lisa"
This may still work, follow Ubuntu 11.10 guide (on which Linux Mint 12 is based): http://www.webupd8.org/2012/02/install- ... buntu.html
Re: LibreOffice PPA for Linux Mint 12 "Lisa"
Please, I don't need to remove or purge 3.4, do I?
Thank you again.

According to the guide, you wouldn't need to do that. It can't harm to do it anyway though; removing the old application and later installing the new will not remove any files from your home directory so you are not at risk of losing preferences or personal documents.

This is the PPA for the latest Libre Office: Running this command will add the PPA to the source list and import the authentication key.
After this above command you have to run the following commands:
This will upgrade Libre Office as well other programs/packages. Nothing to worry about since this is what the Updatyemanager also does.
Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
After this above command you have to run the following commands:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get upgrade
